Sobre o Curso
O GPON (Gigabit passive optical network) é uma rede óptica passiva com capacidade Gigabit, tecnicamente é uma tecnologia de fibra óptica que permite uma maior transmissão e recebimento de dados através de um único cordão de fibra óptica.
A arquitetura é de ponto-multiponto, que permite FTTH (fiber to the home), ou seja, a fibra até a residência do usuário final e o FTTB (Fiber to the building), onde a fibra vai até um determinado site e a distribuição para o usuário final é feita através de uma rede ethernet, tendo como meio de transmissão o cabo coaxial ou o par de cobre.
